Dispatch Consoles
Dispatch consoles that put the whole operation in front of one person.
A dispatch console gives an operator command of every radio channel at once. FirstCom Radio supplies, installs, and supports dispatch consoles for public safety agencies, security operations, transportation fleets, and private businesses.
One position, every channel
A dispatcher has to listen to several channels, answer the one that matters, and keep a record of what was said. A dispatch console makes that possible. It presents each channel and talk group on screen, lets the operator select and transmit with a click or a footswitch, and keeps unselected audio at a lower level so that nothing is missed.
Connect groups that cannot normally talk
Consoles can patch channels together, so that a security team on one system can talk to a facilities team on another, or a police department can coordinate with a neighboring agency during an incident. Patches are created in seconds and removed just as quickly when the incident ends.
Location, logging, and accountability
Modern consoles show the location of GPS-equipped radios on a map, display the identity of each caller, and flag emergency button activations so they cannot be overlooked. Call logging and voice recording provide a record of every transmission for review, training, and reporting.
Sized for your operation
A single desktop console may suit a hotel security office or a school district. A public safety communications center needs multiple positions, redundancy, and integration with other systems. FirstCom Radio designs each console installation around the way your dispatchers work.

Questions
Common questions
Do I need a dispatch console if I only have a few channels?
A base station radio may be enough for a small operation. A console becomes valuable when one person must monitor several channels, track unit locations, or keep recordings of radio traffic.
