Repeater Systems & Tower Sites
Repeater systems and tower sites, designed and built to cover your ground.
A radio is only as good as the system behind it. FirstCom Radio designs and builds repeater systems and tower sites that deliver dependable coverage across a building, a campus, a city, or a region.
Why a repeater changes everything
Radio-to-radio communication is limited by terrain, buildings, and the modest power of a handheld. A repeater receives a signal and retransmits it at higher power from a better location, usually a rooftop, a hilltop, or a tower. The result is a dramatic increase in range and far more consistent coverage inside buildings and across uneven ground.
Design that begins with coverage
Every system we build starts with the same question: where do your people need to talk? We study the terrain and the structures involved, select frequencies and antenna locations, and design the system to cover the areas that matter. The design accounts for capacity as well as coverage, so the system can carry the number of users and conversations you expect.
Tower sites built to last
A tower site is more than a tower. It includes antennas and feedline, combiners and duplexers, equipment shelters and racks, grounding and lightning protection, and backup power to keep the site on the air when the commercial power fails. FirstCom Radio designs and builds complete sites and can also install your equipment on an existing tower or rooftop.
From one site to a wide-area network
A single repeater may be all a hotel or school needs. A utility, a transit agency, or a public safety department may need many sites linked together so that users can roam across a county or a state. We build conventional and trunked systems in analog, DMR, NXDN, and P25, and link sites over IP, microwave, or fiber.

Questions
Common questions
How do I know if I need a repeater?
If your radios lose contact across your property, between floors, or behind hills and large structures, a repeater is usually the answer. FirstCom Radio can evaluate your coverage and recommend the right solution.
Can you install equipment on a tower or rooftop that we already use?
Yes. We design and build new tower sites, and we also install and maintain repeater equipment at existing towers and rooftop locations.
