Vehicle Radio Installations

Mobile radios installed properly, in any vehicle.

A mobile radio performs only as well as its installation. FirstCom Radio installs radios, antennas, and accessories in fleet vehicles, emergency vehicles, buses, and heavy equipment, with clean wiring and reliable results.

Installation makes the difference

Poor installations cause most mobile radio complaints. An antenna in the wrong place, a power connection that picks up electrical noise, or a cable pinched under a seat can reduce range and make audio hard to understand. A proper installation places the antenna where it radiates best, takes power from a clean source with correct fusing, and routes every cable out of harm's way.

Any vehicle, any fleet

We install radios in patrol cars, fire apparatus, ambulances, delivery vans, tow trucks, shuttle and transit buses, school buses, utility trucks, and construction and mining equipment. Each vehicle type has its own demands, and each installation is planned so the operator can reach the controls safely while driving.

More than the radio

A vehicle installation can include external speakers, remote-mount control heads, GPS and LTE antennas, hands-free microphones, in-vehicle chargers for portable radios, and vehicular repeaters that extend the range of a handheld when the driver steps away from the vehicle.

Fleet rollouts

When an entire fleet needs to be equipped or converted, we plan the work around your schedule so that vehicles are out of service for as short a time as possible, and we install every vehicle the same way so that drivers and technicians always know what to expect.
